IDENTIFY
EXCELLENT
EDUCATORS
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
nominations
and video
submissions
School and community
stakeholders nominate teachers, assistant principals and principals for the award.
Nominations open at the very beginning of each school year.
Applicants are invited to submit a video of their classroom or a
professional development session.
essay
and project proposal
Applicants complete essays that demonstrate their positive impact on student achievement
and self esteem as well
as their ability to collaborate with
multiple stakeholders.
Applicants describe in detail the project they would like to implement to expand their impact in their class or school.
classroom
observations and interviews
Semi-finalists advance to
live classroom and school observations conducted by past winners of the award.
And our finalists
participate in multiple
panel interviews, some
with past winners, as well.
The first step in our process to ensuring that all children receive an exemplary education is to identify the educators and the strengths they bring with them into the classroom.
Our merit-based awards program has a rigorous application
process designed to identify educators who demonstrate
increases in student achievement, enhancement of
student self-esteem, and collaboration with
community stakeholders.
Nominees are asked to outline a project they'd like
funded that will help them make an even greater
impact in their classrooms or schools.
